Paitan is one of the trending ramen broth currently. Tori means chicken while Paitan simply refers to the white and creamy broth that ramen fans love.
Ramen Chef at Home
Although some restaurants including Ramen Nagi had opened their doors for the dining-n option, I can not see myself going out anytime soon unless a vaccine is discovered. So I am happy to satisfy my ramen cravings via delivery.
I love that Ramen Nagi has theirs in neat brown boxes that an OC foodie would adore receiving. The green sticker clearly heralds the brand and the instructions in 5 simple steps.
Inside the box
Chicken Paitan soup
Ramen Noodles
Chicken thigh fillet with skin
Vegetables
Kikurage
Minced Garlic
Mise en place is all set and all you have to do is follow the instructions which are easy peasy.
How to Prepare
1. Heat the soup in a pan or in the microwave until it boils. About 5 minutes
2. Boil water for the noodles and dip it for 20 seconds. Set aside
3. Blanch the chicken in plastic (20 minutes) & veggies in plastic (20 secs) in boiling water
4. Add soft boiled eggs - Boil eggs for 5 minutes and immediately submerge in cold water to stop the cooking process
5. Assemble the noodles, chicken, veggies, eggs in a bowl
6. Pour the ramen broth
7. Serve while hot. Enjoy
Overall, making your own ramen at home is a delightful experience. It helps that every ingredient is all there in that pristine brown box. Being your very own Ramen-Chef-at-Home is now possible with Ramen Nagi's ramen-to-go kits.
