Bueno

Chef Ken Alfonso  is at it again conceptualizing a new menu that will titillate any foodie's palate especially those who love tapas and pintxos.

Check out the dishes below...

Eleven New Pintxos for you to enjoy!

Salmon Ahumado caught my attention almost immediately.  Those smoked salmon were beautifully presented atop a baguette and were really scrumptious

Love seafood ? You will like Cangreho Y Gambas. Those succulent shrimps married well with the crabmeat slathered with a special dressing

Not a fan of bell pepper? Chef Ken's  Piquillo Rellenos con Atun  might make a convert of you yet. Best  not tell you why so you can try it out for yourself . So good!

Skewered Olives and Anchovies? Yes they are called GILDAS .  Per Chef they are the basic pintxos in San Sebastian in Spain and they consist of  olives ,pepper and anchovies,
These are so simple yet  delicious. Easily one of my favorites among the 11 pintxos

Best roasted bone marrow yet. Tuetano Asado  is a must try. I loved how it paired well with chimichurri cutting through the richness  of the bone marrow like hot knife to butter.

Apparently a typical dish from Basque country, this  Pulpo Ala Gallega  was gorgeous to look at as it is to taste. The galician octopus was perfectly grilled  marrying well with the sweet potato puree. I shall order this again.

Paella de Cochinillo con Trufa or Truffle Paella with Cochinillo for the win.  Dont forget to scrape thru the bottom of the pan for some soccarat   which I really look for in paella. The smokiness from the crusty bottom elevated the flavors making the experience memorable.

For dessert, Bueno's Tarta de Queso  is a must try. Not quite in the menu yet, this  Basque burnt mouth-watering cheese cake is best eaten with sips of  port wine just like they do  in Espana

Overall,  an amazing lunch  that just whetted my appetite for Spain. It felt like I just experienced a sneak peak into the gustatory potential that awaits  us when we fly to the country known for its tapas, pintxos, paella, etc.

Definitely returning with the piggery in tow.  I can still taste those delicious pintxos, refreshing sangria and that fantastic dessert Chef Ken made himself.

BUENO TAPAS & WINE  is located at the ground floor The Grove Rockwell in Pasig
