Literally Pigging Out on Sundays

Used to be an unwritten rule that weekends are  reserved for the family. Lately though, the piggery has been filling up the Saturdays as well with their own activities.

So Sunday evolved into THE  day that is strictly for family. No excuses. Unless the bunso has an exam or one of the piggery is feeling poorly.

So a couple of Sundays prior  in our pigging out mode, we found ourselves in Rockwell again in a huddle deciding where to have lunch.

Its been a really long while since our Chili's visit and there was no violent reaction for the choice  haha so everyone proceeded to this American joint with a Tex-Mex flavor.

The piggery has to have their mash. They ordered two variants. The plain Mashed Potatoes P95 and ..

the FULLY LOADED MASH P160.  Second son loved the texture and flavor of the mash but was disappointed his fully loaded mash did not live up to its  name... ie NOT fully loaded at all  (see pic above).  He was expecting  the mound of potatoes to be smothered in cheese and bacon and its center , filled with more cheese and bacon. Oh well....

Of course handsome hubby and I had to order our greens. We ordered Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad (to share P495). It had crispy chicken breast toasted in spicy buffalo wings sauce and bleu cheese, bacon, tortilla chips,  drizzled with ancho-chili ranch with home-made ranch dressing on the side.

Completos Recados!  Carbs-proteins-fats-sugar-veggies represent! Thumbs up for this dish :)
In addition to the salad, handsome hubby ordered the Rancheros Chicken Tacos (2 pcs P360/ 3 pcs P460) . The menu says  seasoned chicken over jack  cheese and topped with chimichurri sauce, house made pico de gallo, sliced avocado  or avocado pul, chopped cilantro and queso crumbles. Served with Chili's rice and black beans.

It must have tasted good because husband was able to finish it all  haha

When with the piggery there has to be meat....lots of meat. So ordered these pork chops P485

Should have been starters but this order came with the mains. Its called  The Triple Dipper P575.  The piggery chose onion, rings, wings over buffalo and  southwestern egg roll.

82 year old Pa-in-law and 2nd son had the same order each. They loved their liempo or  Country style Pork Belly P460 -  grilled marinated pork belly grilled  with rice. Served with vinegar and garlic sauce for dipping
First son ordered one of the best sellers Chicken Crispers P360. Imagine hand battered chicken that is deep fried then drenched in that special sauce. What I tasted was crispy exterior while the chicken inside remained fluffy and moist. Yum!

Overall...?

Surely we ordered too many dishes. 6 mains 3 starters and one salad. But living up to their collective name, the piggery demolished  everything haha. I wonder where they put it?

CHILI'S  is located at the ground floor of Power Plant Mall in Rockwell
