Time flew so fast, I just marked a year since we last set foot in the City of Azaleas otherwise known as Taipei. The five-day vacation was mostly a gastronomic
adventure zeroing on the street food peddled by hawkers at night markets and milk tea found in every corner of the city.
With the advent of Covid19, we were relegated to just daydreaming of our cravings while in quarantine. Good thing a couple of weeks after the beginning of the #FlatteningTheCurve era, the government allowed food deliveries all over the metro.
A week ago, I tried Tien Ma's Taiwanese Cuisine under The Figaro Group for the first time...
Yes, you can now order a combination of Taiwanese Food under Tien Ma's or your favorite staples at 27-year-old Figaro Coffee by visiting their website www.TheFigaroGroup.Ph. Saves you on delivery and you get two different kinds of cuisine at the same time
Tried the 3 cup chicken above (large P435). I simply love how the chicken parts are all thighs which we prefer. They were tender and obviously freshly cooked.
Beef with Broccoli P440 (large). Note the verdant color of the broccoli and how fresh it looked. It was crunchy and flavorful too. I shall order this again.
Sweet & Sour Pork P435 is a piggery favorite so I ordered two tubs of it. It was ok. A little tough and chewy though plus the flavors were a little on the bland side.
Love it savory and sweet? Order their Lucky Spare Ribs P440 (large). The pork was tender. Flavors were perfectly balanced. One of the more memorable dishes that day.
Overall, ordering from www.TheFigaroGroup.Ph was easy. The portions of each item ordered vis a vis the less than five hundred pesos price tag for each large tub was value for money.
A bright spot in an otherwise bleak travel outlook in the next two years, I better make my 10k steps a daily ritual. Otherwise, I'm on my way to a heftier version of myself with these good food I'm indulging in haha.
