Last week, I received a box of Butao King and Gyoza via delivery. Yesterday, it was a package of ready-to-cook Red King & Butao King.
It was easy to do. Here are the instructions.
1. Bring the broth to a boil in a saucepan or microwave it for 5 minutes.
2. Dip the pork chashu in boiling water for 30 seconds. Make sure to dip the vegetables and other ingredients. to.
3. Assemble all ingredients in a bowl.
4. Enjoy while piping hot.
Truth be told, I have always shied away from ordering Red King. My tolerance for anything spicy is really low so I avoided ordering this variant. This afternoon was my first time ever to try it. What do you know, it was not that bad. Not bad at all!
Yes, it was indeed spicy. I was able to mitigate the intensity of the heat though by portion control. This made it possible for the handsome hubby and moi to enjoy our bowls. I also added soft boiled eggs to enhance the authenticity of the experience.
Our sons in the meantime had a field day putting dollops of the spicy minced pork on their bowls. Everybody was happy.
