Figaro in the time of Corona

From a dream by a group of coffee aficionados to have a place where they could enjoy a cup of brew with scrumptious pastries and an idea to name it after an opera song "Figaro" of The Barber of Seville fame,  to a solid Italian European concept that became a hit in the local market, the brand took root and flourished.

Twenty-seven years later,  Figaro Coffee is now synonymous to a local cozy cafe that exhibits both Pinoy and  Italian-European flair.

The Pinoy part comes from homegrown coffee beans such as Atok, Benguet Arabica, and Barako/Excelsa which comprises its signature House Blend.  Quintessential Filipino favorites such as Pinoy Bangus, Pork Longganisa, and Gourmet Embutido are also found on the menu.

I remember how Figaro Coffee became a family favorite.  We often find ourselves in Glorietta on weekends and after lunch we usually gravitate to a place where coffee is good and pastries are delicious. The open area of Figaro  a few steps from Cibo, beckoned. I remember how good their Americano was. We paired it with the drool-worthy-looking small round chocolate that was displayed in their glass case.  So good! We never looked back.

From savory delights to mouthwatering desserts, the brand has also introduced new dessert concepts in the past year alone, with pastries including its Chocolate Lava-Filled Muffin, and cakes such as the Strawberry Shortcake. Not to be outdone is my old favorite the Ensaymada.

Figaro Coffee also released a new line of Milk and Fruit Tea, Cold Brew drinks, and  Frappes. Of course, the brand's staples  such as the generous offer of coffee, fruit-based and milk tea choices are still there

With the advent of  ECQ, Figaro Coffee made its stores available for pick up and delivery via their website www.TheFigaroGroup.Ph.  Customers can now have their favorite Figaro food or coffee delivered simultaneously with its sister restaurant Tien Ma's which specializes in Taiwanese cuisine.

Do try their  Gourmet Meal Box that is only P100 per order.   I can not wait to give that affordable meal box a go.
