Delivery, Take Out or Pick Up at Mamma Mia

Amazing how the  Italian expression "mamma mia"  can be an exclamation of frustration, shock, surprise, delight, or amazement. In the case of the family's experience, Mamma Mia meant joy at discovering how good the food was at this cozy Italian restaurant.

Fast forward to modified enhanced community quarantine era synonymous to food delivery , we were happy to learn that Mamma Mia has joined the fray with its delivery, take out and pick up services.

Just the other day, we enjoyed the following

Spaghetti Carbonara Ala Mamma Mia  P519.64  Sharing P1,735.71

authentic, rich, classic bacon and egg spaghetti with parmesan cheese black pepper 
and guanciale topped with a melted cheese blanket.

There is something about an authentic carbonara sauce that uses eggs instead of cream that makes the taste more scrumptious and the texture silkier. Add guanciale or crunchy Italian cured pork made from pig's cheeks  and your palate would be transported to its happy place.

Linguini Al Pesto with Pollo P423.21 Sharing P1,446.43

Love pesto? You will enjoy this dish. The sauteed zucchini is a new element I would love to incorporate in my  own  pasta recipes at home.

Italian Bacon and Meatball Bombs P423

First time to try this and it has become a new family favorite. The meatballs wrapped in bacon were juicy and moist while the ricotta cream cheese added a new level of flavor and texture to the dish

Admittedly, there was a bit of a trepidation regarding the possibility that the quality of food may diminish with delivery. Happily, though, all 4 items above did not disappoint. The pizza did not become soggy nor did the pasta. The Italian bacon and meatball bombs retained its juiciness.

As with any food delivered, best eaten as soon as you receive it.
