Although Covid19 is now synonymous with quarantine or staying home, we can still enjoy food from our favorite restaurants thanks to GrabFood , Lalamove or Food Panda .
Or so we thought. Tried Grabfood starting at 1030 am . Guess what , our effort is all for nil. Trying to get a driver until 1130 was absolutely frustrating and impossible. We just had to give up and make do with Spam and eggs for lunch.
Tried it again as early as 230 pm in the afternoon, hoping to have our favorite staples for dinner. Still no luck.
Had a go at it anew on Monday for dinner. This time the kids split our order into 3 averaging about P1000 per order. It worked! Had the first batch that included crispy pata, pakbet and plapla followed by the next batch of 3 orders of sisig and lamb adobo.
We love Manam! Wish they did not run out of kare kare though and arroz caldo huhu.
At any rate despite the difficulty and the exasperation that went into getting a grab driver for our order, I would not mind ordering again using grab app using the kids' technique of splitting the orders.
Do not forget to tip your drivers handsomely.
