It was Day 3 since the #communityquarantine announcement last March 15 . President Duterte has expanded the government directive to total lockdown since then covering not only Metro Manila but the whole island of Luzon .
The latest numbers were not ecouraging. There were 45 new cases yesterday which brought the total number of cases to 187 including 14 deaths and 4 recoveries. Human contact is the vehicle in which the virus thrives. So to starve Covid19, social distancing is a must.
No government can really prepare for this so although the objective was spot on, the steps to achieve this resulted in confusion , anger , frustration especially for the daily wage earners.
To be fair, it was a draconian task that requires everyone's cooperation.
On a lighter note , supermarkets along with other essential goods and services are open.
One of those that are available at our fingertips is the delivery service.
So last night to cheer everyone up, we had Burger King deliver our dinner. Impressed how our delivery guy was well oriented about contactless delivery. The BK guy left our bags of orders on a ledge by the gate while echoing his lead, my son left the payment on the same ledge.
Enjoyed 4 cheese whopper, double cheese burger, chicken nuggets to name a few. Nothing beats Burger King's Whopper to bring the smile to everyone's faces especially the 84 y/o Pa-in-law, during this time of fear and anxiety.
