NEIL'S KITCHEN

Hello again Neil's Kitchen. It has been a while. I first tried Neil's Kitchen in  Westgate Alabang  almost 3 years ago.
See my previous blog https://www.piggingoutonsundays.com/2017/08/neils-kitchen.html

This branch in Glorietta is a far cry from its beautiful branch in Alabang but is nonetheless charming. Those whimsical touches on the wall never fail to catch my attention even sans the winding staircase of its branch in the south

So found Neil's Kitchen at Top Of The Glo and practically bullied the handsome hubby and the piggery gently to  give it a go haha.

Here are our favorites...

Boneless Chicken Bbq with Java Rice P395.  The portion was amazingly generous. This can be shared by 2 people. The flavor and texture  and concept is reminiscent of the ultimate chicken bbq comfort food of Aristocrat or Reyes.

The handsome hubby and I shared Paella Negra with Calamares  P395.  The serving may look small at first glance but believe me one order is just right for two and would be too heavy for one. Really enjoyed the paella negra but it was too rich I can only manage two tablespoonfuls at most. Hoping the calamares would cut through the richness but did not. They were perfect individually as dish ,  but together they did not jive

Bbq Pork Belly with Java Rice P395 was good. Check out the generous portion above. The macaroni salad though needs to be improved.

Overall,  there  were hits and misses. But those hits  ( like the above)were something that I would like to  order again if I find myself in the area.

Service was alert and cheerful. Location was great. Price is reasonable. Our group of 11 got a bill of almost P5000 which was not bad at all. We just need to choose the right items to order next time and perhaps  be mindful that the serving is more than generous for one.

Neil's Kitchen is located at the Top of the Glo in Glorietta just across Rico's Lechon and same level as Japan Town.
