"Akrotiri is inspired by Greece's astonishing geography and a wide diversity of ingredients. Akrotiri which literally means cape or peninsula, can be located all around Greece.
The strong connection between the land and water is exemplified by our food development using a classic Greek heritage.
Akrotiri's objective is to serve simple natural dishes with the freshest ingredients in a very welcoming atmosphere "
- Akrotiri
Yesterday with some UP fraternity brods and sorority sisters, the handsome hubby and I had dinner for the first time at Akrotiri. Timely too because we are watching what we eat this days and Greek or Mediterranean cuisine are known to serve healthy food.
Here are some of the food our party of 16 enjoyed...
Xoirino Rolo P450 - slow cooked pork rolled and filled with green peppercorn served with fries and potato onion..
One of my favorite starters is Akrotiri's Grilled Feta Cheese with Tomato & Bell Pepper P300. Suggest you pair it with white wine.
Grilled Halloumi CheeseP250 was a standout too. Do not forget to squeeze some lemon on it before eating.
Notable dishes that we were not able to take a pic of but I would highly recommend are ... Dip Platter with pita bread P500, Salmon Skewer single stick P370 . It is a complete meal by itslef with pita bread tztiki dip, french fries and tomato salad.
Ambiance was homey and casual with a mediterranean-sea blue and white the dominating color theme. It is a two storey restaurant where the 2nd floor can be utilized as an events place.
Upon entering you see the aquarium of a kitchen in front and the mural-rendition of Mykonos on the left.

Chairs echo the blue and white theme.
Service was exceptionally warm and friendly. The Restaurant Manager Marie was very amiable, patient and eager to share the back story about the Greek resto.
Overall...
Love the much touted authentic Greek food. I think it is the only restaurant in the metro that has a Greek Chef in the kitchen helm
Definitely returning with the piggery in tow.
