It was a few days before the family leaves for our annual vacation. Unica hija and I decided to bond over an Ilash session over at a Korean Beauty Parlor which specializes in Ilash extension.
It was going to be my first time there at the recommendation of the only daughter. The bonding went well and we both came out with much brighter eyes and longer thicker lashes albeit hungry bellies.
Before we went out the door , we saw the owner lunching on what we initially thought was ramen? It was not. It was Korean noodle soup and the restaurant is just beside the beauty parlor we were just in.
With stomach growling, we ordered the soup which turned out to be the Seafood variant.
Amazing how big the bowl was and how piping hot! Imagine getting a facial from all that steam haha
The broth had complex flavors for one that is clear soup. The noodles were al dente and tasted amazingly delicious. The bowl was generously endowed with clams and vegetables.
Unica on the other hand ordered an ala carte pork belly which she requested to be cooked in the kitchen. While waiting , the server gave us 6 refillable banchans
Overall, I only spent less than P600 for the both of us. I loved the soup and will order it again. Daughter's pork belly though had seen better days. It was not nice to look at and pretty tough to chew.
Banchan were really good though. I just smothered the tough pork belly with that popular Korean sauce that we all love, added some of the banchan before wrapping everything in lettuce.
Next time will try their unli bbq for only P499. Be ready to smell like the meat you are roasting though
See you there!
