YATAI

It was almost lunch when I found myself at Seascape Village , a 5 hectare entertainment and recreational area which currently houses 10 restaurants and soon hotels , bars, lounges.

The 2 story complex is a labyrinth of dining areas with the quintessential aquariums, the better to show off its occupants' freshness. Lobsters, eels, crabs, shrimps, fish swim happily in their temporary habitat clueless as to the fate that awaits them.

Think Dampa but less frenetic , more open, airy and a few steps from the water.

The bay made its presence strongly felt with the breeze that messed up our hair. I am so glad I was not wearing a skirt or a dress yesterday.

Along with other select foodies, we were invited to a Food Crawl of four restaurants...

Yatai Asian Cuisine

Yatai Asian Cuisine's menu reads like a melting pot of Asian Cuisine that includes Korean, Japanese, Pinoy and Chinese.

A couple of weeks ago we tried the following...

Chicken Katsu with Curry Sauce

It was your regular chicken katsu with regular curry sauce. Nothing out of the ordinary here but it hits the spot.

Braised Pampano

The fish is the star of the dish. It was flaky and of premium quality , it was a delight enjoying its freshness.

TORI KARAAGE P250

Crunchy and flavorful, it would be perfect as a starter to whet your appetite or your main dish to pair with steamed Japanese rice.

Pork Yakitori P80 per piece

I loved how the Pork Yakitori retained its succulence. It was very flavorful and a joy to indulge in. You would need cups of rice for this dish.

Overall, the Pork Yakitori is something I would return for on my next visit.
