My South Hall at S'Maison Conrad

Delicious. Fast. Affordable. The three words which according to Chef Josh best describe My South Hall by Chef Josh Boutwood. The hashtag says it all #eatsforeveryone!

The pronoun in @mysouthhall is indicative of the emotional investment  Chef Josh attached to this latest collaboration with The Bistro Group.

Everything is personally curated by the chef of the Helm,  Savage and Test Kitchen fame.

Chef Josh Boutwood

"I wanted a place  where I can eat when I'm not working and bring my family....bring my friends and they get something from different stalls and put it all in one table and enjoy the experience...."
                                                                      -Chef Josh Boutwood

Opened last October 17, My South Hall by Chef Josh Boutwood boasts of  8 brands, 7 of which are homegrown with Juicy Fresh Bar, the lone international franchise from the roster.

My South Hall is a sprawling space that can seat 250 people at any one time. It is tucked in an area of  S'Maison that one can jestingly describe "that Bistro Group Corner" seeing that   Italianni's, Bake & Cook, Red Lobster, Texas Road House are adjacent to each other along with My South Hall.

Last October 28 along with other select foodies and media representatives, we enjoyed the following...

TABEMASHOU

Tabemashou literally translated means "let's eat" is perfect for  Japanophiles who love everything Japanese.

Check out this torched salmon sushi with salmon skin as base. So good!

Chicken, pork, beef skewers were scrumptious too and pairs well with Japanese steamed rice.

Crazy about tempura? You will like Tabemashou's version.

That Wagyu cubes in skewer was to die for. I can probably eat 5 sticks of  that with bowls of rice.

Spicy Salmon Sushi  are a must-try too. Just the right kick to whet the appetite.

Of course one can not leave Tabemashou without ordering their Salmon Sashimi.... Yum!

Can not wait to return to try their Chicken Karaage, Tantanmen and Chashu Tonkotsu and Salmon rice-filled Stonepots. [Related read: What you can eat at Tabemashou]

WCKD Milk Tea

Authentic Taiwanese milk tea  flavors that are wickedly good. Although homegrown, Wckd's ingredients are sourced from Taiwan the better to be true to the  particular beverage  that Taiwan is famous for.

Wckd's Pearl Milk Tea Regular  is P90, Large P100.  Tea taste is there and the pearls were a delight. I loved that the price  are affordable from a low of P90 to a high of P155.

Can not wait to try the other variants with the piggery and the handsome hubby.

ROAST'D

Roast'd is all about giving you scrumptious Chinese -style roasts without the need to fly out to Hong Kong. Check out  the freshly roasted chicken, pork, duck hung on hooks by the glass display.

The aroma wafting from the freshly roasted meat seduces ,  making an automaton of  you. You will find yourself ordering more than you can consume haha.

Delicious chicken , crispy duck skin, crunch pork crackling  with juicy succulent meat awaits. Rice please.

Price less than P300 per order. [Related read: My review of ROAST'D]

GOLDEN TREASURES

Think birthday noodles, Yang chow fried rice, egg yolk buns, pork dumpling, hakaw, siumai and chicken feet.

SEOUL HOTPOT

Chunks of beef, fresh vegetables, a hearty steaming stew? What's not to love ?

This was one of the  dishes highly recommended by Chef Josh Boutwood in My South Hall. I found out why soon enough. Broth was really flavorful ,  matched with crispy vegetables and mushrooms.

This would be perfect comfort food when its pouring outside and a great alternative to the usual ramen craving.

CHIX

For your All-American food craving, My South Hall has CHIX  for you.

Check out their mouth-watering burgers and chicken wings in chili barbecue, sweet chipotle glaze, honey garlic, Japanese Sesame Cheese, Sour cream,  and more variants

ROMA

Pasta, sauces, dips made from scratch and cooked fresh while you wait. Order  the Truffle Rigatoni . I swear  my eyes just rolled back  in pure rapture on my first mouthful

JUICY FRESH BAR

The lone international franchise among all  8 stations  at My South Hall ,   Juicy Fresh Bar  is the number one fresh fruit juice bar concept in Korea offering refreshing and healthy juices blended from fresh fruits of the season. Think handpicked  fruits.

Choose from a slew of flavors that include Chocolate Banana, Kiwi, Blueberry, Honeydew, Strawberry Mango,  Orange-Pineapple,  Peach, Watermelon-Strawberry,  and Peanut-Banana,  to
name a few.

"We wanted to please the unique collective taste of the Filipino palate , look into their favorite cuisines and try to work around them. Thus at My South Hall,, we have Japanese , Chinese, Italian, American and even milk tea"

Indeed the options  for guests at  Chef Josh Boutwood's My South Hall are well thought of  and special. I especially enjoyed ROMA which impressed with its freshly made pasta, sauces and dip. That Truffle Rigatoni is a must try.

The roster of  cuisines under one roof  is the perfect solution to  our  family of 6  who does not always agree on the choice of food to enjoy .

With Chef Josh Boutwood's My South Hall, the family's  perennial question of  'what and where to eat'  is well, now moot and academic.

MY SOUTH HALL is located at the ground floor of S'Maison Conrad, located at Seaside Boulevard, Coral Way, Pasay, 1300 Metro Manila. Contact them through their mobile no.:(02) 8833 9999.

    1. buns were really fluffy! Tempura had just the right amount of batter to make it crunchy and the prawns inside were succulent. Try the hot pot in the Korean area too. Plus the truffle past...yum yum yum <3
