There is something elusive and therefore curious about restaurants that are not found in malls nor are part of a chain .
Makes me want to check it out and give it a go.
Take for example this restaurant along Missouri Street in Greenhills. The building is just across the Promenade where you find familiar brands
Washoku shares the 2nd floor with Dohtonbori an international franchise. I dont know if Washoku Toyoda is part of a chain. What I do know is my foodgasmic experience with friends last week.
The sushi and Uni platter alone already made my day. But my pleasure went another level when we were served the Ichiran ramen. That first whiff immediately transported me to the Land of The Rising Sun.
It was my first time to experience the Suntory Luxury Yuzu drink and the Yamazaki Single Malt Whiskey too. Loved the Yuzu. It was fruity and sweet, I almost forgot it had alcohol. Watch out for this one. You will get hooked with its delicious and refreshing citrusy flavor. Before long, you will realize too late that the drink was intoxicatingly good and I mean that literally haha
Overall, if you want to go somewhere quiet with almost a hole-in-the-wall feels , delicious sashimi and uni, ichiran instant ramen and fantastic Japanese Yuzu and Whiskey, I highly recommend Washoku Toyoda.
Average cost per person is P600 without alcohol and it is "sulit" because of the premium quality of their food.
Definitely returning with the handsome hubby and piggery in tow.
WASHOKU TOYODA is located at the 2nd floor of Cullinan Prime Building, 8 Missori Street Greenhills San Juan City
