Relatively new, Pastarrifico opened just three months ago at Ayala North Exchange right beside Starbucks.
Quite small compared to its neighbors, the 26 seater space has a lofty ceiling though and coupled with the open kitchen, evoked coziness.
Pastarrifico boasts of freshly made pasta on the premises, one you can watch being made while you wait.
Among my favorites were
Minestrone
Sardine Pasta
Roasted Chicken
Lasagna
Ricotta with Mango Puree
Overall, there is really no substitute for pasta and sauce created on the spot for your dining pleasure. Although there were misses, the hits more than made up for them
Do order their lasagna with that amazing red meaty sauce and bechamel. I loved how the lasagna sheets were just the right amount of thinness to absorb that rich tomato based liquid. Cheesy and meaty. Perfect!
The Tagliolini Sardines P350 was memorable as well. Sardines, sundried tomatoes, Chili and black olives all combined with the freshly cooked pasta to give you that delicious mouthful.
Hearty with minced veggies and what looked like cannelini beans and bits and pieces of pancetta, Pastarrifico's Minestrone with Pesto P120 is a must try. I shall order this again for lunch with a slice of their freshly baked bread.
Roast Chicken P320 for half a portion was moist, tender and flavorful. Soak up all those juices with a piece of their freshly baked ciabatta (?)
Definitely returning with the piggery and handsome hubby in tow to try the other items in the menu.
