Home is where the heart is, so goes the adage. Indeed home is where the family is. It can be anywhere or any place for as long as everyone is together.

Sunday masses and lunching together after,  had become a family tradition.  Selection of the restaurant for the week, had become a family preoccupation.

So there we were at Gloritetta one Sunday morning at 11 am on the prowl for the cuisine of the day. Saw Nono's and decided to give it a go. I have tried Nono's chicken and waffles before with foodie friends and would love for the piggery and the handsome hubby to taste it too.

Not your usual dough, Nono's waffles tasted more like puff pastry and I love it. The piggery loved it too. Chicken were crispy outside and juicy inside and paired well with the sweet waffles.

Flaky and flavorful, Nono's Miso Glazed Salmon was a hit to my pa-in-law.

New items on the menu...

A couple of moons back Nono’s  launched a new menu for the rest of 2019.

Check out their all-day breakfast menu. A helping of the Kesong Puti Pandesal with Spanish Tsokolate recalls warm memories of childhood. Meanwhile, the Avocado & Egg Toast and the Homestyle Waffles with fresh strawberries or blueberries are perfect brunch companions, ideally enjoyed with friends over some coffee or coolers.

If you’re the type to hit the ground running early, you will appreciate Raoul’s Breakfast Plate, which offers the classic, complete combination of smoked bacon, sunny side up eggs, and French toast—a favorite of Chef Baba’s husband.

For a big lunch feast or celebrating a relationship milestone over an intimate dinner, discover new favorites at Nono’s. Start the hearty meal with the Parmesan Truffle Fries or the Chicken Lettuce Wrap.

Find new ways to savor familiar flavors, with the distinct Nono’s touch. From the Garlic Steak with Mushrooms, the Shrimp & Sole or Mixed Vegetable in Coconut Cream, the Nono’s Sisig, the Miso-glazed Salmon with Red Rice, the Chicken and Waffles (also available in big plate serving), to the Panroasted Sole with White Wine Sauce—take your pick.

Personally, I would highly recommend their Chicken and Waffles. Chicken were crispy outside juicy inside while the waffles were a dream seemingly made out of puff pastry ( Im guessing here). The waffles were flaky and chewy and all kinds of yummy and married well with the savory chicken.

Of course one can not go home without taking out a box of their award winning cakes and pastries. Nono's Oblivion is a must.

"We listen to our customers and we want to evolve with them. When we started , it was all about comfort food done right. But with the new menu,  we hope to go beyond that and bring loved ones together so they can create fond memories over good food..."

- Chef Baba Ibazeta Benedicto

Overall, whatever the occasion may be, there’s always something to keep you coming back to Nono's

Nono's is located at the ground floor in Glorietta just across Landmark.
