Shake , Rattle and Pour at Fridays

25 years and counting, Fridays continue to amaze with its consistency in food, service and events.

Yesterday , we were privileged to have been invited to Fridays Annual World Bartender Championship.

Amidst all the excitement and amazement at how adept the contestants were in their craft, we were munching on our favorite Fridays fare while multi tasking.

Check out  the following :

Started off with Fridays Chili Ball Park Nachos P495/P695. Crispy tortilla chips, cheese sauce,

chili, pico de gallo and fresh salsa  washed down with a glass of wine in my case and iced tea, vodka,  beer for my foodie friends.

Pretty soon Fridays Trio Platter P945  landed on our table. It was just the right selection to complement our Nachos. A few seconds on and we were loading up on buffalo bites with blue cheese which was yum and  bingeing on  fried mozzarella with marinara sauce while waiting for the event to start.

It was a pretty festive atmosphere and the excitement was palpable in the air.  There were 8 contestants representing each branch of TGIF and each brought their own "pala" aka 'cheering squad'  for  that much needed moral support.

While I was watching the first contender,  Fridays Signature Burger P595 arrived. Visualize  all beef patty, two strips of crispy bacon, American cheese sandwiched by fluffy brioche bun with crispy seasoned fries on the side...yum!

Fridays Chicken Fingers P395  followed next. Hand-battered chicken tenders, crispy seasoned fries, honey mustard dressing. I think we opted for the traditional variant vs the Cajun one.

In the meanwhile, glasses of yellow drinks with vodka are going around while the booming voices of the two energetic and fun hosts can be heard amidst the din of  cheers and party music.

Overall,  it was my first time to attend such an event and  I had a blast! Hats  off to the 8 contestants who vied for the title. Awesome skills!  Must have taken months even years to perfect their routine.

The winner will represent the Philippines in Indonesia for the Asia Pacific Bartender Championship on October.

The regional winner will then face the best of the best  in the World Bartender Championship in Dallas Texas
