Of Fowl and Fawl

First of all , let's get the pronunciation correct. Its FAWL pronounced the way you would its homonym 'foul" with a different spelling and meaning . Just got corrected yesterday haha.

Just that saying fawl gives me a negative mindset ( foul ie foul smelling) so the brain is resisting and my mouth keeps uttering fowl with the long o instead.

The Hatching

Moving on, surprised to know from Eli Uy (marketing) that the restaurant was hatched 4 years ago in 2015. Almost embarrassed to admit that it was my first visit there. That is not to say I have not been curious about this dining place every time I find myself in the area. Somehow never got around to trying it though until last week.

Second aha moment? That airconditioned area albeit cramped , behind the open kitchen with the al fresco concept. I did not even know there was one. Good to know one has an option though if its too hot outside.

The Food

So what was the cuisine? The restaurant's name should give you a clue. Fowl as in bird ie chicken.

So the best seller is the fried chicken sandwich with get this - crispy chicken skin for garnish! And that chicken skin is humongous! Love it!

Fowl Bread is no stranger to the food business having owners who also conceptualized Bad Bird and The Beef

So yesterday, we enjoyed the following...

What an amazing Friday experiencing Fowl Bread's food for the first time. Really love those Fried Chicken Sandwiches FB is known for.

Amazed how fluffy the brioche bun were and how tender and juicy the crispy chicken thigh was inside. Can not get over the chicken skin cracker...really good. Elevated the sandwich to another level altogether

Do order their OG Fried Chicken Sandwich P290 if its your first time and be ready to be bowled over by that simple ensemble.

Garlic and Dandan Noodles are great too. Each order is below P300.

Definitely returning with the handsome hubby and the piggery to try the other items in their menu.
