I have never been to this part of CCP before. Surprised that per owner, this Seaside Complex has been open since a year ago.
There are several restaurants in the venue with a view of the bay for good measure. Construction is frenetic near the water foreshadowing more exciting brands opening very soon.
A couple of weeks ago, with some select foodies, I had the opportunity to take a sneak peek via an invite for lunch at Mazu Seaside Diner.

Loved the crunch and the salted egg flavor on this one. Chef managed to retain the crunch of the vegetable . I loved the contrast between the salted egg and the sweetness of the French beans
Salt and Pepper Shrimp

These crustaceans have always been a favorite of the family. Mazu deep fried these creatures to a crisp so that it was a joy munching on them shell and all. I particularly liked the head
Buttered Chicken

I just started with one small piece and pretty soon I was munching on these like it was popcorn.

The rich black color from the squid ink mesmerized. You will need cups of rice for this
Overall, with a seating capacity of 260 plus an additional 50 outside, Mazu is perfect for huge parties and events. It is a multi level venue with 3 function rooms in the mezzanine and another 3 downstairs.
"Paluto" or please cook, is the name of the game in this part of CCP Complex called Seaside Village. Echoing the concept of Dampa sans the "going-to-market" part, seafood is the star of the show.
Mazu however veered away from the ubiquitous and did the a la carte method instead (at least to us)

Among the dishes served that day, the fried shrimps , French beans and Buttered chicken were most memorable. I was hoping to have some crabs too . Alas they were not available.
The price range was reasonable considering that dishes came in for sharing portions.
There were also lunch sets that were very affordable at P175 up.
Great view, spacious venue, good food, reasonable price. What's not to like?
Definitely returning to try their crabs next time.
