The last time I was at Gourmet Bar was about a year ago. Then as now, they still maintain a standard of making everything from scratch.

Beef Caldereta Sliders P490  for the win. Nothing beats freshly baked bread and at Gourmet Bar Novotel, you get your made-from-scratch hot-off-the-oven bread  daily. I  enjoyed the flavorful and tender Beef Caldereta cradled lovingly by the pandesal
Double Burger  P670 is worth every hard-earned peso. Think  grass fed beef, comte cheese, fried shallots,  bacon, organically grown tomato and romaine lettuce. 

Patty was meaty and delicious. Brioche was freshly baked. Loved the cheese-shallots-bacon-patty combo

Overall,  food was good. Service was excellent. The price is a little on the high side but is a given considering that Gourmet Bar is one of the restaurants in the hotel.

What I really loved about Novotel is that it is a hotel with a social conscience. 

They donate food to the Philippine Red Cross at the end of the day.

Novotel Hotel in Araneta Center is part of the AccorHotels which has among its members the likes of Sofitel Hotel, Grand Mercure, Ibiza and most recently Raffles and Fairmont Hotels in Makati. The group is part of Planet 21 which commits to avoid food wastages, to uphold healthy and sustainable food, to fight against sexual exploitation of children,etc.

Good food. Restaurant with a heightened social conscience. Top notch service. What's not to love?

Definitely returning with the piggery in tow.
