Seems FAT FOOK did not waste any time adding to its branches in this year of the pig.
Last week, the Ayala North Exchange branch formally opened to the public last May 6.
On May 16 just a week after the inauguration of the Ayala branch , its 7th branch in the metro will be opening at UP Town Center.
We were there yesterday at the Media Launch of FF and I must say Im excited for the folks in and around Quezon City who will be enjoying this home grown brand serving familiar and delicious Taiwanese fare...
Case in point...
Taiwanese Sausage P328 is particularly memorable. I recall our trip in Taipei just a couple of weeks ago . It was our second visit to Shilin Night Market and I was hell bent on finding that sausage I saw in one of the blogs I follow. Fat Fook's version is eerily a twin of some of the sausages I enjoyed there.
Tip : Be sure to feed your significant other this dish so you negate the smell of garlic haha
Pork Xiao Long Bao P168 5 pieces P258 8pcs. Nothing says Taiwan better than a serving of these iconic soup dumplings. Fat Fook's version is as good as those xlb's I tried in Taipei
String beans with minced pork P198. At last something green to assuage the guilt of enjoying all those pork and chicken. Amazing how green the string beans were and still have a little bite in it. A little bit on the oily side though
Chicken Chops P308 Although lacks the crunchiness and the wow factor of the Hot Star Chicken Chop we lined up for while in Taipei, it was nonethless flavorful and smelled the same as the original
Sweet and Sour Pork 268 . I loved how crisp the bell peppers were. The pork though were a little tough
Taiwan style fried noodles P228 looked amazing. The noodles were too oily for me though.
Taiwan Style Fried Rice P268. Now this I can eat all by my lonesome. It had bits of sausage in it, it almost looks like an all in one dish!
Omg this is a must try. Cheese Cake, ice cream and mangoes? What's not to love?
Chocolate Milk Tea married well with all the flavors and texture of the savory dishes that well served. Think palate cleanser. A few sips of this and you are all set for a second round of Fat Fook's food.
Overall, another enjoyable lunch that transported me to the night markets of Taipei. No need to purchase plane tickets. When the craving hits, just hie off to the Fat Fook Branch nearest you.
QC people, you are one lucky bunch
FAT FOOK 'S 7TH BRANCH will open to the public on May 16. It is located at the second level of UP Town Center near Coco.
