What ? Japanese-Mexican food too at Tokyo Tokyo?
What happens when the Japanese favorite Maki marries the Mexican staple Burrito? You get Makirrito. Get it? A portmanteau of two of my favorite dishes, its name intrigued...
MEATY MAKIRRITO
You get to choose between Pork Kakuni P110 (ala carte) P180 (snack bento) which consists of pulled pork, unagi sauce, shredded vegetables all wrapped in sushi rice and nori...
or Cheesy Beef Makirrito P130 (ala carte ) P200 (snack bento) with beef misono, cheese sauce, cheese slices, tempura onion, shredded veggies wrapped in sushi rice and nori
Overall....
Delicious, filling, food-on-the-go that is a convenient snack or meal option for busy individuals such as this mom of 4.
What I love about the Makirrito is the sticky sushi rice which was perfect with either the pork or cheesy beef misono.
Price point is not bad either.
Definitely returning with the piggery in tow
TOKYO TOKYO is located at the 2nd floor Venice Piazza Mall in Mckinley Taguig
