Lee Kum Kee Announces Winners of 130th Anniversary Recipe Contest in The Philippines

Lee Kum Kee celebrated its 130th Anniversary with a Recipe Contest  launched globally in 2018. Each entry must include  any Lee Kum Kee sauces and condiments in their ingredients

The competition was a success having attracted close to 500 entries worldwide. Among them, 50 came from the Philippines.(https://130.lkk.com/winner-announcement/).


Last  January 22, 2019, a Prize Presentation Ceremony was held to award the country’s two regional winners.

Most Liked Recipe Prize

Ms. Moral a home-maker and mother of one, won  the Most Liked Recipe Prize for her EMPANADA recipe, a family favorite.

Also an entrepreneur, Ms. Venus Lorraine  had been  a Lee Kum Kee fan for more than eight years. She loves   joining online recipe and cooking contests.

Asked what she loved about Lee Kum Kee, she summed it up in one word "consistency"

Ms. Venus garnered 2370 online votes and took home HKD13,000 in cash or approximately P87,000 and a gift package of Lee Kum Kee products.

Maria Lorena Cruz
Runner up

With 2007 online votes, Lorena became the runner up winner for her CHAR SIU CHICKEN MANGO TORTILLA PIZZA  recipe.

A food technologist from Los Banos Laguna, Lorena has been a Lee Kum Kee user for over 10 years. She shares that she loves LKK for its signature flavor and superior quality. 

Lorena used Lee Kum Kee's Char Siu Sauce and Panda Brand Oyster Sauce for her recipe. It was a team effort  with her husband who was her official taste tester.

Lorena took home Lee Kum Kee products and HKD1,300 or P8,700 as a runner up winner.
