Food Crawl 2nd Stop
From Dunkin Donuts in a Caltex Gas Station along Edsa, our designated driver for the day @discojocen brought us to the Zomato headquarters in Magallanes .
There was hardly any traffic so before 10 am we found ourselves arriving an hour earlier than the appointed time. Having had no breakfast yet, we decided to have our much needed dose of caffeine from Starbucks Magallanes branch while waiting for the rest of the troop to arrive.
This Starbucks branch although two storeys high, is smaller relative to the other branches I have visited. It echoes the industrial theme with its high ceiling and exposed pipe and beams. The rectangular kitchen dominates the ground floor. The floor to ceiling glass walls gives an air of spaciousness to the whole place.
You can literally catch the morning sun when you select the seats fronting the cashier. But it can be uncomfortable to sit with the sun on your face while drinking a hot beverage so I chose a corner spot instead near the stairs It is cooler and with an outlet to boot.
While waiting for the others to arrive, I charged my phone while checking my email .
By the way, there is more space upstairs if the ground floor is full.
I ordered a small flat white to kickstart my day...
Did you know that the Flat White is an espresso beverage made with two ristretto shots combined with a thin layer of velvety steamed whole milk and finished with a latte art dot ( starbucks website).
I love the robust and strong kind of coffee but laced with milk and sugar. I know , Im ruining the drink. But each to his/her own haha.
Soon enough the others arrived.
Off to our next destination.....
