LJC Restaurants Group kicks off the month of September with 3 events to pay tribute to its founder Larry J. Cruz.
The first event , "The Festival of Flavors" pays homage to LJC's love affair with food. Each chef from all restaurants in the group will create 2 dishes in honor of Larry J. Cruz
Good to Dine Campaign running on its 8th year is the second event. The campaign sought to help the Cancer Institute of PGH through the Andres Soriano Foundation, by donating P10 for every feature drink or food ordered. This will commence on September 17 (LJC's birthday) up to December 30.
On Larry's birthday itself on September 17, all diners will get a chance to get prizes from the pick-a-prize-bowl in all restaurants in the LJC group. Prizes include free buffet, overnight stay at Abe Farm to name a few.
MAHI MAHI FILLET PACIFICA P495
Fillet of Dorado fish on a bed of squid ink spaghetti with red bell pepper cream sauce
The fish was the star of the show. It married well with the squid ink spaghetti which was perfectly al dente. The dish was screaming for a creamy component so it was good that there was the red bell pepper cream sauce to tie all the flavors together
SALADE SANTE P295
Roasted beetroot and pumpkin, feta cheese, assorted greens , served with a light vinaigrette sauce.
Kudos to the Chef of Larry's Cafe and Bar. The two new dishes were bursting with flavor and was a perfect complement to each other. If Larry J. Cruz was here, he would be happy indeed.
