HIGHLANDS COFFEE

Highlands Coffee was the 7th stop among 10 cafes which participated yesterday at SM City Sucat's  COFFEE AND MILK TEA CRAWL.  The event started with a  briefing at the admin office around 1030am yesterday and wrapped up at around 430pm.

It was my first time in HIGHLANDS COFFEE. Their store was relatively spacious. The  predominantly wood interior lent a posh yet cozy vibe to the whole place. I love the playful and colorful mosaic  in one  wall, as well

Surprised that they  do not only serve coffee, tea, milk tea, fruit drinks but savory items as well.

That PHIN SUA DA  (traditional Vietnamese Coffee)  was strong and robust, it was addicting. It had the right balance of bitter, sweet and rich. It comes in 3 sizes -small (10 oz)  P59, medium (12 oz) P75 and large (16 oz) P79

They also served us two kinds of Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches ) P99  -  Shredded Chicken and Tuna

TRIVIA

'As of 2009, the company operated 80 coffee shops in six cities and provinces across Vietnam. In 2011,Highlands Coffee purchased the pho chain Phở 24 from Lý Quí Trung for an estimated 20 million USD. The next year, Highlands sold 50% of its shares to the Philippine multinational chain Jollibee for 25 million USD' - Wikipedia

Overall...

I should have known that HC  was  a home grown Vietnamese Coffee house. All the signs were there.  But Im quite happy to have learned something new yesterday. One Im now sharing with all of you

So if  you love Vietnamese Coffee and Banh Mi that is as authentic as the one in the land known for its pho, you should check out HC

Food was good. Price does not break the bank. Ambiance was cozy and posh at the same time. What's not to love?

I  just wish they have plans of putting up branches in Makati or Mandaluyong too

Thank you SM City Sucat and Highlands Coffee for having us.. Thank you too to Tigasouthkaba  for the invite.

HIGHLANDS COFFEE is located at the ground floor bldg A of SM City Sucat San Dionisio Paranaque
