Fely J's



September is an all important month for restaurants under the LJC Group. After all it is the birth month of their founding father Larry J. Cruz.


To pay tribute to Larry, the LJC group crafted two dishes each . For Fely J's it was  PORK ESTUFADA BISAYA P375.  We enjoyed stewed pork ribs with sweet potato, carrots, saba bananas and Chinese sausage. The sauce was deliciously sweet and the pork fork- tender.


The second dish served  was Sotanghon Sa Sugpo P555.  Being a "pansit-person" , I was naturally overjoyed that a noodle dish was included in the roster of dishes served that day.  Those cellophane noodles were well seasoned and flavored. They were sensational. The Sugpo or prawns were cooked just right. Its meat retained its succulence and springiness. It is so easy to overcook these crustaceans. Shitake mushrooms  were  "meaty" and earthy and was the perfect garnish to the dish


Overall Fely J's two dishes  indeed fit the brief of the momentous occasion - LJC Festival of Flavors. They were both scrumptious and something that  LJC will enjoy had he been still here with us.
