As the Philippines braces for Mangkhut a monster of a storm 550 miles wide with maximum sustained wind speeds of 170 miles per hour, I found myself in a grab car on my way to a Coffee Crawl sponsored by SM City Sucat and TigaSouth Ka Ba last Friday September 14
I was actually of two minds since the night prior. I wanted to go but I do not want to be in the center of a raging typhoon. The news took care of my anxiety. Apparently, Mangkhut locally named Ompong was set to make a landfall in the North early dawn Saturday.
As I write this, I pray the country would be spared Ompong's wrath and keep those in the storm path safe from harm.
8th Stop
Auntie Anne's
Auntie Anne's was the 8th stop to a total of 10 participating stores in the Coffee and Milk Tea Crawl yesterday September 14.
TRIVIA
"Auntie Anne's got its start in 1988 when Anne Beller bought a sand in a Pennsylvania farmer's market. After some experimentation Auntie Anne created a masterpiece - the freshly baked goodness you know and love today" - Pretzel History Auntie Anne's
Touted Pretzel King Mikkel Paris' family company took over Auntie Anne's master franchise in the Philippines in 2012. There were only a total of 17 stores at that time. Fast forward to the present,an additional 30 stores were added (Entrepreneur magazine July 2018)
Yesterday at the Coffee and Milk Tea Crawl, we were served the following : almond crunch pretzel
almond flavored nuggets ,cream cheese milo sticks and two cheese pepperoni nuggets.
Overall...
We have long been loyal fans of Auntie Anne's since it first opened in the country. The piggery simply loves all their pretzel and nuggets not to mention their dips.
Thank you SM City Sucat and Auntie Anne's for having us and TIGASOUTHKABA for the invite.
AUNTIE ANNE'S is located at the ground floor SM City Sucat San Dioniosio Paranaque City
