Check out this easy-to-make Tuna and Pomelo Salad  that is filling, satisfying and healthy

Everybody’s going out of town this summer, and of course I’m one to keep up with the trend. We all know going out of town usually means going to the beach, which means I need to get fit and fab pronto huhu

Because of this, I started a new diet. But dieting can be hard. Crash diet, of course, is a no- no!

I just find it especially difficult to stop myself from eating chocolates and sweets and red meat but just thinking about the weight I have to lose to be able to keep up with my favorite beach activities gets me worked up on dieting!

For me, the hardest part of dieting is getting used to frequently eating veggies. So I need to be creative in coming up with ways to make these healthy greens yummier.

Luckily, a good friend recommended San Marino Tuna Fillet. It’s such a healthy alternative to the meats I’m used to eating, plus it’s really delicious! It’s prime-cut which means it’s chunky, meaty, and delicious in every bite. The best thing about this is that it’s very versatile and can therefore work with different vegetable salad recipes.

My favorite is Pomelo Salad! It’s a classic Asian style salad that is so simple and uncomplicated. Anyone can do it

1 can San Marino Tuna Fillet Spanish Style (drained)
1 clove garlic pounded
1/4 cup water
brown sugar to taste
calamansi to taste (optional)
1 vacuum packed Romaine Salad (optional)
lots of  juicy pink pomelo
toasted walnuts (optional)

1. Just whisk sugar, garlic,  14 cup water , calamansi and a a chunk of San Marino Tuna Fillet Spanish Style  in a bowl.

I love a bit of spice in my salad so I use San Marino Tuna Fillet Spanish Style.  But you can use other variants of San Marino Tuna Fillet like Tuna Fillet Water or  other Tuna products of San Marino.

Optional :
*  Add a tablespoon of the  oil from the can to the dressing for more flavor.

*  For a bit of acidity - you can use calamansi, lemon or apple cider vinegar

2. Stir in your pomelo  slices. Leave some for garnish

3. Put your pre-washed romaine lettuce on a salad bowl.

4.Toss  the romaine, pomelo-water-sugar-garlic-San-Marino-Tuna-Spanish-Style-dressing together.

5. Garnish the salad with the remaining chunks of San Marino Tuna Spanish Style , remaining pomelo and nuts.

6. Serve immediately

This recipe is quite delicious. It satisfies my meat cravings as well! San Marino Tuna Fillet adds flavor to my salad without the guilt of eating too much. Such a win-win situation for me and my diet!

You can try your own recipes that will  go well with San Marino Tuna Fillet (and trust me, there’s more of them)! It comes in two very flexible flavors: Spanish Style and in Water. If you wanna get ideas on how to serve this delicious tuna fillet, you can visit
