A couple of weeks ago , I was fortunate to have been one of the foodies invited by Zomato Ph to have lunch at Soban K Town in SM City North.

Interiors were cool and hip. I loved their retractable exhaust tube. You will leave the restaurant smelling as fresh as you came in.

It was my first time in Soban and I was looking forward to tasting their combo menu especially their BBQ sets . This mom always has her piggery in mind whenever she thinks about food. I got there a bit early but pretty soon the restaurant was packed.
I still remember the Food & Tech Movement Event I attended in March which was quite an eye opener. Statistics showed that the number one most popular cuisine in the metro is Korean. Seems Korean restos are sprouting like mushrooms , a testament to how Pinoys are taking to the cuisine like duck to water. I think its the Pinoy palate which loves anything sweet that made Korean food a hit in our country.

So during lunch several days ago, we were served the following :
A Group Set for 3-4 persons
180 grams USDA Choice Premium Marinated Beef
180 grams Pork Belly (Choice of any 2 flavors)
180 grams Boneless fried chicken 1 Japchae 1 Pajeon
1 Egg casserole and 1 Half Gimbap
Served with a maximum of 4 unlimited
Kimchi Fried rice, soup and side dishes.
For P550 per person (P2200/4), this combo set is value for money. This foodie mom who is always on the lookout for restaurant fare that will satisfy her piggery was happy with Soban's Premium BBQ Combo for the following reasons:
4 UNLI SIDES
UNLI SOUP WHICH WAS YUM!
UNLI KIMCHI RICE
UNLI LETTUCE TO WRAP YOUR PROTEIN IN.
CRISPY PAJEON.
YUMMY JAPCHAE
QUALITY MEATS
I counted 4 kinds of carbohydrate (rice, gimbap, pajeon, japchae), 3 types of protein and loads of vegetables which made my inner health police smile for a change. Yes Soban K Town's Premium BBQ set just passed this foodie mom's stringent budget-quality-quantity-health requirements.
Definitely coming back with the piggery in tow
