Barkada - 2nd stop North Food Crawl

After RUB,  our group of  20  foodies walked a bit to go to restaurant no 2 in our North Food Crawl.

Good thing, BARKADA was also in UP Town Center. It was pouring outside.

The restaurant was a small place and minimally decorated.  But it was cozy and had a cheery vibe. We were welcomed by Ms. Adielle and we unceremoniously started almost immediately. After all time's a wasting and this was just 2nd of  a total of 7 restaurants we were scheduled to visit today.

Shrimp Pomelo Salad  with honey vinaigrette P 190.  I love that the greens were crisp, the pomelo were sweet , the honey vinaigrette rounded all the flavors together and the price was reasonable.

Baked Baby Back Ribs - P275. The sauce was delicious. The price was reasonable considering the generous portions. The meat was tender on some part and a bit chewy in other parts. 4/5

Bacon Wrapped Chicken P600 5 pcs - The chicken leg was plump and juicy. It  would have been more drool-worthy if  the bacon was on  the crispy side. Having said that, I quite enjoyed this dish. It was simple , scrumptious and moist. 4/5

Baked Salmon P295 - I love salmon in general so this was one of the dishes I was looking forward to try. The portion was just right for its price.  The dish was quite tasty. 4/5

Baked Lasagna P175 -  I loved the contrast of the yellow on the cheese against the red of the tomato sauce.  It looked delicious. However I found the red sauce one dimensional. It lacked the richness in flavor I always taste in the  lasagna dishes I have tried before. It was also almost  begging for more cheese.   Perhaps more cheese and more herbs? 3/5

Triple Chocolate Smores P170,  First of all it smelled so wonderful. I loved the roasted mallows together with the chocolate and graham crackers. Such a happy dish 5/5

Funnel Cakes P125 -  It was crunchy outside and soft inside. It was sweet and chewy and sinful. You taste whip cream, blueberry and powdered sugar. This was a treat for this sweet tooth. May be equivalent to an hour's treadmill in the gym but worth it hahaha  5/5

Before I forget we were also served their Lychee-Ginger Juice (P80) which I found refreshing and their Peach Mango Juice also P80 which was so so. 3/5

Price  : Affordable
Service : Good
Ambiance : The place is small but cozy. There is wifi and outlets for you to charge your gadgets in . Yay! Clean restroom  - check

Over all a good experience.
